Standard Indoor Flying Theater

Standard Flying Theater Ride

A commercial indoor flying theater ride with a 6-DOF motion platform, dome projection, synchronized 4D effects and configurable 16-40 seat layouts.

What is flying theater?

A flying theater is a large-scale indoor entertainment project where audiences ride in dynamic flying seats and follow a set storyline, transitioning from a real indoor space to a virtual environment (dome screen film) for a flying experience. Wehop Flying Theater utilizes cutting-edge holographic projection technology to create a mesmerizing virtual space, delivering a captivating and enjoyable visual feast.

A flying theater combines architectural space, a motion platform, an audio-visual system, special effects and show control. Dynamic seating and a wrap-around screen surround the audience with coordinated movement, imagery and sound. Wind, mist, scent and other programmable effects can add physical feedback when they are included in the selected configuration.

A compact flying theater turnkey solution

Famous flying theaters like Disney's Soarin' and Ferrari Land's Flying Dreams are breathtaking, but they are often restricted to massive theme parks with low accessibility. Most people rarely get to experience them.

At Wehop, we are changing the game. We have engineered a compact, affordable flying theater solution designed for urban life. By bringing high-tech flight simulation into local shopping malls and entertainment centers, we make this premium experience accessible to everyone, every weekend.

Wehop Flying Theater is designed to provide audiences with a thrilling, immersive journey. It is the ideal attraction for theme parks, science museums, shopping mall, and tourist destinations, with customizable content ranging from breathtaking aerial perspectives to stunning natural landscapes.

1. Architectural Space

The spatial layout needs to be designed according to equipment requirements to ensure a reasonable audience flow and create an immersive atmosphere.

2. Motion Platform

Employs a suspended dynamic seating system, enabling rotation and six degrees of freedom of movement.

3. Audio-Visual System

Dome Projection: Utilizes a giant dome or bowl screen, paired with a high-precision projector, to achieve seamless, high-definition panoramic images covering the audience's field of vision.

Sound System: Multi-channel surround sound creates a realistic sound environment, enhancing immersion in conjunction with the visuals.

Media Playback System: Responsible for storing, decoding, and synchronously playing the film, ensuring precise synchronization between the visuals, seat movements, and special effects.

4. Control System

Integrates and controls the motion platform, audio-visual system, and special effects equipment, using programming to achieve collaborative operation of each component, ensuring a smooth and accurate viewing experience.

5. Special Effects System

Optional special effects devices such as wind, snow, rain, and lightning can be added to further enrich the audience's sensory experience and enhance immersion.

How does a flying theater work?

A flying theater operates through a synchronized system of suspended motion seating, immersive projection, and multi-sensory special effects.

Guests are seated in ergonomically designed suspended seats mounted on a motion platform. The platform lifts riders and moves with multiple degrees of freedom, precisely synchronized with the flying film content. This coordination creates realistic sensations of acceleration, altitude change, and directional movement.

Visual immersion is achieved through a large-scale curved or dome screen combined with high-brightness projectors. Surround sound systems further enhance spatial realism, while wind, scent, mist, and other environmental effects add physical feedback to the visual experience.

The result is a smooth, safe, and highly immersive flying sensation that allows multiple riders to experience flight simultaneously, making flying theaters ideal for high-traffic commercial venues.
