A 5D cinema combines stereoscopic 3D visuals with a multi-axis motion platform and synchronized environmental effects (wind, mist, scent, bubbles, snow, lightning). A 7D cinema adds two more 'D's — interactive shooting guns and real-time scoring — turning the audience into active players. Wehop builds both, often in the same room, so operators can run passive screenings during the day and interactive game shows during peak hours.

What's the difference between 5D and 7D?

5D = 3D film + motion platform + 4D environmental effects. 7D = 5D + interactive light-gun shooting + real-time leaderboard. The 7D mode lets up to 9 players compete simultaneously, with final rankings shown on the main screen — significantly higher repeat-visit rates than passive cinema.

How many seats can a 5D/7D cinema accommodate?

Wehop dynamic seats are sold in 2-seat and 3-seat modules. Compact rooms run 6–12 seats; standard installations are 24–60 seats; large theme-park installations exceed 100 seats. Seat upholstery, colour and styling are fully customizable.

How much space is required?

Our most popular layout requires approximately 14.5 m × 4.5 m (≈ 65 m²) of floor space plus a 5 m equipment/control room — supporting 5 rows of motion seats and a curved 150° projection screen. We provide professional CAD construction drawings tailored to your specific venue.

How many movies are included? Can I get new ones?

Our library includes 100+ ready-made 5D and 7D titles spanning action, adventure, horror, kids, sci-fi, space, ocean and disaster genres. We keep adding new films, and the library is included free of charge. Custom content production is also available for branded or location-specific stories.

What is the installation timeline?

Standard installations take 2–4 weeks on-site, including civil prep verification, equipment commissioning, motion platform calibration, audio tuning and operator training. Our engineering team travels worldwide to provide turnkey delivery.

A 5D cinema projects a stereoscopic 3D film onto a curved screen while motion seats sway, pitch and rise in perfect sync. Programmable wind, mist, snow, bubbles, scent, strobe and smoke effects fire on cue, surrounding every viewer with multisensory immersion.

A 7D cinema upgrades the experience with handheld light-gun shooting — every seat becomes a player cabin. Hit-rate and score are tracked in real time and final rankings appear on the main screen, turning each 8-minute show into a competitive game session.

7D Interactive Shooting System

Each motion seat is equipped with a handheld infrared light gun. Players aim and fire at targets on the main screen — continuous fire is supported and hit detection is processed in real time.

Every hit scores points; the live leaderboard updates on a secondary HUD during the show, and when the film ends the final ranking of up to 9 players is displayed dramatically on the main screen — driving the social-media moment and repeat ticket sales.

Operators can run the same room as a passive 5D screening during off-peak hours and as a competitive 7D game show during peaks — doubling utilization per square meter.
